  6. verdassenzio says:

Actually, Italy center of Risorgimento is Turin, where the country was born. Not Milan.

  7. My wife and I just got back from Italy two days ago. It was my first time in Europe, and I always dreamed of going to Italy. I must say it did not disappoint. I LOVED it, absolutely loved it. Our itinerary was 3 nights in the Cinque Terre, 2 nights in an agrotourismo in Tuscany, and 3 nights in Rome. They were all beautiful places, and I will treasure every moment we spent there, but my favorite was Rome. We basically had the whole city to ourselves. We hardly waited in line to see the major sites. In fact, it took all of 5 min when we got in line to the Coliseum to enter the site. So if you are looking to plan a trip to Italy, go in the mid Spring. My favorite was St Peters Square and the Basilica. It was just beautiful. We also rented a car while in Tuscany, and we were there for Italy independence holiday. There were numerous festivals going on in those Tuscan hill towns, and one was a wine festival in San Quirico d'Orcia, so obviously, we partook in the festival. Please follow Rick's recommendations if this is your first trip to Italy or your 100th trip to Italy. The Italian people are good and hospitable people and want you to come and have a good time to eat, learn their history, which they are very proud of, drink the wine, and of course relax and enjoy their beautiful country.  Ciao!!

  10. Hanna3 says:

I just had a friend come back from Italy and she said it was scary in certain parts. She said that here a lot of young men hanging around outside of this little mart she liked to enter and they wanted money and some were aggressive. She said of course it was still pretty in parts but there were problems. She traveled to a small town where yes, there were still some cute cafes and the water was pretty, but right down from where they were staying, migrant men were just camped out there and she said there was a lot of trash. So all in all it was not her dream vacation.

  11. Thanks so much for posting 🙂
