awesome tips ,… Thanks , I may use a backpack when I do my trip out to BC again this year , last year I used a suit case and a carry on bag when I went out to BC from Ontario on the Greyhound bus but I will have to check and see what the sizes of backpacks are for carry on .

  2. So they actually turned the whole thing into a science. ๐Ÿ˜€

I just bought my first real good quality backpack from Tatonka recently and I'm so in love with it. A good backpack really is the key to a happy traveller ๐Ÿ™‚

  15. These tips came in handy today, bought myself a nice lil pack to walk the Camino de Santiago next month. Difficult to find myself a bag though, as I also eventually measured as an extra small at the shop I bought mine at… but because I'm pretty tall at 5'8", associates kept putting me in the wrong size at MEC haha. Never realized how disproportionate my torso was… oh well!

  16. First time I've seen a Pack Sizer. I prefer to use a luggage case with wheels, but still interesting info =)

  17. Great video guys!! ๐Ÿ™‚

  18. Very informative! Thanks so much! I love the color of the pack you picked out =) Namaste

  19. Informative and entertaining as always! I'm Canadian too and I love sail ๐Ÿ˜€

Once you're all packed, you know where you should consider traveling? U.S. National Parks! And there's lots to see and do, especially as the U.S. National Park Service turns 100 YEARS OLD! You can watch them all on this playlist (which will be updated throughout the summer!) https://youtu.be/6euyNab8Waw?list=PLlvHlI3rc2tOmjuV8G71HNTt3qzAa03So

  22. What backpack size can I use for traveling carry on only?

  23. How would Gregory Cairn 58 would fit on men? I found one at a very good price but I' m not sure if it would fit me…

How do you guys pack your drone? is 60L big enough?

  25. Is the Aether 60 (that Siya has) small enough as a carry-on?

  26. Cery Kheav says:

Did you end up getting an x-small for your backpack and is it comfortable to wear? She mentioned your spine being about 16 inches, about how tall are you? I'm currently looking for a backpack to travel throughout SE Asia in but not sure if I should get an x-small size or a small/medium.

  27. LOL!!! Siya's Nemo bag!!! lol…The magenta one is cute! But I do love the Aqua one you picked! Beautiful colour!…ugh but Siya's pick has the extra day pack and camel pack compartment… oh man…decisions!!!

Sail's my favourite too, I like it more than MEC. I just can never decide on a good back pack so always end up using regular ones which end up hurting my shoulders or making me sweaty… I'll have to go soon since I leave in a week and a half for my road trip! ๐Ÿ™‚

  28. Emma Bowen says:

Hey Kristen! What model of backpack did you choose?

  29. Hi my height is 170 cm so what will be right Liter to pick ??

  30. curlywonders says:

If I have a 75L backpack, and I plan to go backpacking across Europe, is it bad to travel with a mostly empty backpack? I hear a lot of people say its bad because you're tempted to carry things you don't need but is there actually any real negative to having a half empty backpack?

  31. Great video!
What size backpack is ideal for a trip of between 1-3 months?

  32. Carla Helena says:

Wow I had no idea there was this much stuff to take into consideration when buying a backpack… This was a super interesting video

  33. One more tip. Ones you found that pack you like, put some weight in it and see how it holds up. Almost any pack will feel comfy when empty, but it's not till you add 30lb you will really feel how all those straps and backsupport will feel on you. Most stores have sandbags they can add.

  34. Qadri Shukri says:

Kristen, if you dont mind how tall are you?

  35. Natalie D says:

kristen what bag did you buy??? its awesome

  36. i didnt hear how much the bags were. thanks for sharing

  37. Basa 1959 says:

Great tips but two major flaws many of us face. Firstly, we don't always get the scope fo choice of brands or bags e.g. for me Fjallraven, or even a particualr model. Second, the sales staff ap[ear highly informed, rarely does that seem the case. Therefore a buyer has to become educated; and frankly a PhD in bags is required as there are far too many to choose from, and then we are faced with guessing when buying from the internet and that becomes a pot luck. Now to measure my back…this shouls be fun!

  38. Awesome video, I've just come across your chanel, I'll have to check it out some more! I've also started my own channel "Wandering Nomad"
